Zendesk Pricing 2026: What European Teams Pay in € and £

Direct answer: Zendesk pricing in Europe starts at €55 or £45 per agent per month for Suite Team and €115 or £89 for Suite Professional, billed annually and before VAT (checked October 2026). AI is billed on top: each verified AI resolution beyond your allowance costs €1.50 (£1.30) when you commit in advance, and Copilot adds €50 (£40) per agent per month. If you need your data stored in the EEA or the UK, the minimum is Suite Professional.

Zendesk publishes separate price lists for the euro zone and the UK, so you do not need to convert from US dollars. This guide uses those regional prices. It covers the Suite plans, AI agents and automated resolutions, Copilot, the Data Center Location add-on, VAT, and two worked examples for 5 and 15 agents.

The last section shows how to cut the bill. One of the options is Heeya, the AI chatbot that publishes this blog. Heeya is not a helpdesk, and we say clearly where Zendesk stays the better choice. If you are already looking at other tools, our guide to GDPR-friendly Zendesk alternatives compares seven of them.

Quick summary

  • Price per agent (billed annually): Support Team €19 / £15, Suite Team €55 / £45, Suite Professional €115 / £89. Suite Enterprise is on quote.
  • Monthly billing costs more: Suite Team €69 / £59 and Suite Professional €149 / £115 per agent.
  • AI agents: 5 resolutions per agent per month included on Team plans, 10 on Professional. Extra verified resolutions cost €1.50 / £1.30 committed, €2.00 pay-as-you-go.
  • Copilot: €50 / £40 per agent per month, billed annually.
  • EU or UK data hosting: the Data Center Location add-on is free, but only on Suite Professional or higher, and you must ask Zendesk to turn it on.
  • Real cost: 5 agents on Suite Professional with Copilot and 300 AI resolutions a month cost about €14,400 or £11,640 a year before VAT.

Zendesk Suite Plans: Price per Agent in € and £

Zendesk charges per agent, per month. An agent is a team member who answers tickets. The prices below come from the Zendesk UK pricing page and the euro pricing pages for Germany and the Netherlands (checked October 2026). The euro prices are the same on both. US dollar prices are shown for reference.

Plan (per agent / month) EUR, annual EUR, monthly GBP, annual GBP, monthly USD, annual
Support Team €19 €25 £15 £20 $19
Suite Team €55 €69 £45 £59 $55
Suite Professional €115 €149 £89 £115 $115
Suite Enterprise + Copilot Price on request (contact sales)

Prices before VAT. Zendesk's pricing page does not show VAT. Zendesk bills in EUR, GBP or USD; your payment currency is set when you open the account and can be changed through your account representative.

What you get on each Zendesk plan

  • Support Team: email ticketing only. No messaging or live chat. Good for a small team that works from email.
  • Suite Team: adds messaging and live chat, a help centre, voice and AI agents with 5 automated resolutions per agent per month.
  • Suite Professional: adds skills-based routing, an IVR phone menu, writing tools and ticket summaries (5 uses per agent per month, pooled across the team), Admin Copilot, 10 automated resolutions per agent per month, and the Data Center Location add-on for free.
  • Suite Enterprise: adds advanced controls such as a sandbox and custom roles, with Copilot included. Price on quote.

Zendesk offers a 14-day free trial of Suite Professional, with Copilot included during the trial. There is no permanent free plan.

Are UK prices cheaper than euro prices?

Slightly, on paper. Zendesk does not simply convert the euro price. At the ECB reference rate of 23 October 2026 (£1 = approx. €1.19), Suite Professional at £89 is approx. €106, against €115 on the euro list. Suite Team at £45 is approx. €54, against €55. The gap is small, and your real cost depends on the currency your account is billed in. Do not open a UK account just to save on the list price.

Zendesk AI Pricing: AI Agents, Resolutions and Copilot

Zendesk AI has two separate price tags. AI agents answer customers and are billed per automated resolution. Copilot helps your human agents and is billed per agent. Most teams that use both pay for both.

AI agents: what an automated resolution costs

Since May 11, 2026, Zendesk has been rolling out a single AI agent offer to all Suite and Support plans. The old split between "Essential" and "Advanced" AI agents is gone (Zendesk announcement). You no longer pay for an AI add-on. You pay for results.

  • Included allowance: 5 resolutions per agent per month on Team plans, 10 on Professional, 15 on Enterprise. The allowance is counted per year and expires at the end of the year or of your term. It does not roll over.
  • Committed resolutions: €1.50 (£1.30) each, bought in advance, 100 or more at a time.
  • Pay-as-you-go: €2.00 each on the euro list. The UK page shows this price as US$2.00.
  • Overage: billed monthly. You can also choose to pause the AI agent when you reach your limit, so you never pay more than planned.
  • Cap: accounts on all plans have a maximum of 10,000 allocated resolutions per year.

These rules come from Zendesk's help article About automated resolutions for AI agents (checked October 2026).

What counts as a resolution since May 2026

Since May 18, 2026, Zendesk uses three resolution tiers. Only a verified resolution counts against your allowance: an LLM reads the conversation and confirms the customer's request was solved. An "assisted escalation" (the AI helped, then a human finished) and a "contained resolution" (the customer stopped asking) do not count.

This is fair, because you pay only for real outcomes. But it makes the bill hard to predict. A good month for your AI agent is an expensive month on your invoice. Our guide to per-resolution AI chatbot pricing compares this model with Intercom Fin and Gorgias.

Copilot and other add-ons

Add-on (billed annually) EUR GBP Note
Copilot €50 / agent / month £40 / agent / month Agent assist: suggested replies and actions. Included in Suite Enterprise + Copilot.
Workforce Engagement bundle €50 / agent / month £40 / agent / month Quality assurance and workforce management.
Contact Center €82 / agent / month £72 / agent / month For voice-heavy teams.
Data Center Location Free on Suite Professional and higher See the next section.

Copilot is a per-seat cost. For 10 agents, it adds €6,000 (£4,800) a year. That is almost the price of 10 Suite Team seats (€6,600 or £5,400).

Data Center Location Add-on: Which Zendesk Plan for EU or UK Hosting

To choose where Zendesk stores your data, you need the Data Center Location add-on. Zendesk states it is "available and free of charge for Zendesk Suite Professional or higher plans" (Zendesk help centre, checked October 2026). Customers on legacy plans can buy it separately.

Question Answer from Zendesk's documentation
Minimum plan Suite Professional (€115 / £89 per agent per month, annual)
Price Free on Professional and higher
Regions European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, United States, Japan, Australia
Activation Not automatic. You contact your account representative or Zendesk support.
Products covered Support, Chat, Guide, Gather, Explore, Talk and Zendesk WFM, with exceptions in the Regional Data Hosting Policy
Not covered Processing by Zendesk group companies and their providers in other regions; data shared with non-Zendesk services you connect

What this means for a European team. Suite Team cannot keep your data in the EEA or the UK, whatever you pay. If your DPO requires EU or UK storage, Suite Professional is your entry price. For 5 agents, that is €6,900 (£5,340) a year in seats alone, against €3,300 (£2,700) on Suite Team.

UK teams can pick the UK region, which helps with UK GDPR. Irish, Dutch and German teams pick the EEA. In both cases, Zendesk remains a US company and some processing can happen outside your region, as listed above. Many companies accept this with the standard contractual clauses. Regulated sectors should ask their DPO to assess it before signing. Our guide to EU data sovereignty for AI chatbots explains the legal background.

Zendesk Cost Examples: What 5 and 15 Agents Really Pay

The examples below use the regional list prices from October 2026, annual billing, and committed AI resolutions. They show the yearly cost before VAT. The AI volumes are assumptions; replace them with your own numbers.

Zendesk pricing for 5 agents

Assumption: the AI agent produces 300 verified resolutions a month (3,600 a year). Suite Team includes 300 a year for 5 agents, Suite Professional 600.

5 agents, per year Suite Team Suite Professional Suite Professional + Copilot
Seats €3,300 / £2,700 €6,900 / £5,340 €6,900 / £5,340
Extra AI resolutions 3,300 × €1.50 / £1.30
= €4,950 / £4,290
3,000 × €1.50 / £1.30
= €4,500 / £3,900
€4,500 / £3,900
Copilot Not included Not included €3,000 / £2,400
EEA or UK data centre Not available Free, on request Free, on request
Total per year (before VAT) €8,250 / £6,990 €11,400 / £9,240 €14,400 / £11,640

Notice the AI line. On Suite Team, the extra resolutions cost more than the seats. At 300 resolutions a month, AI is the biggest part of the bill for a small team.

Zendesk pricing for 15 agents

Assumption: the AI agent produces 800 verified resolutions a month (9,600 a year, under Zendesk's 10,000 cap). Suite Team includes 900 a year for 15 agents, Suite Professional 1,800.

15 agents, per year Suite Team Suite Professional Suite Professional + Copilot
Seats €9,900 / £8,100 €20,700 / £16,020 €20,700 / £16,020
Extra AI resolutions 8,700 × €1.50 / £1.30
= €13,050 / £11,310
7,800 × €1.50 / £1.30
= €11,700 / £10,140
€11,700 / £10,140
Copilot Not included Not included €9,000 / £7,200
EEA or UK data centre Not available Free, on request Free, on request
Total per year (before VAT) €22,950 / £19,410 €32,400 / £26,160 €41,400 / £33,360

Monthly billing changes a lot. On Suite Professional, 15 seats billed monthly cost €26,820 (£20,700) a year instead of €20,700 (£16,020). Buying AI resolutions pay-as-you-go at €2.00 instead of committing at €1.50 adds another €3,900 a year at this volume.

Adding VAT: UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Germany

Most VAT-registered businesses recover the VAT they pay, so the net figures above are their real cost. VAT matters if your business cannot recover it in full, for example in some financial, health or education activities. Here is the Suite Professional + Copilot total with standard VAT added.

Suite Professional + Copilot, per year UK (20 %) Germany (19 %) Netherlands (21 %) Ireland (23 %)
5 agents £13,968 €17,136 €17,424 €17,712
15 agents £40,032 €49,266 €50,094 €50,922

How to Cut Your Zendesk Bill

A Zendesk bill has three drivers: the number of seats, the plan, and AI usage. You can lower each one. Some changes take five minutes in the admin centre. Others mean changing how your team works.

Quick wins inside Zendesk

  • Pay annually. Suite Professional is €115 instead of €149 per agent (£89 instead of £115). That is about 23 % less.
  • Commit to AI resolutions. €1.50 committed against €2.00 pay-as-you-go. Look at three months of usage first, then commit to the volume you are sure to use.
  • Set a resolution limit. Zendesk lets you pause the AI agent when you reach your limit, instead of paying overage.
  • Choose the plan for the right reason. If you do not need EU or UK hosting, skills-based routing or an IVR, Suite Team costs less than half of Suite Professional per seat.
  • Check who really needs Copilot. At €50 (£40) per agent, it is worth it for agents who handle complex tickets all day. It is a lot to pay for someone who answers ten tickets a week.

Fewer seats with AI deflection

Seats are the biggest fixed cost. If an AI chatbot answers repetitive questions before they become tickets, fewer tickets reach your team. Fewer tickets can mean fewer seats at renewal. This is called ticket deflection, and it works best when your answers already exist in a help centre, product guides or policy documents.

The math is simple. Each Suite Professional seat with Copilot costs €1,980 (£1,548) a year. If deflection lets a 15-agent team renew with 12 seats, it saves €5,940 (£4,644) a year in seats alone. Measure your real deflection rate for a few weeks before you cut seats; do not plan on a number from a sales deck.

An AI layer in front of a lighter inbox

Zendesk's own AI agent is one way to deflect tickets. Another is to put a separate AI chatbot in front of your inbox and stop paying per resolution. Heeya does this. It answers visitors from your documents and website using RAG for customer service, and collects a contact request or opens a ticket when it cannot help. The price is flat: Standard €19/month (500 AI replies, approx. £16) or Premium €99/month (2,500 AI replies, 3 agents, tickets and form connectors, approx. £83), with a 7-day free trial and no credit card. Details are on the Heeya pricing page.

15 agents, per year, before VAT EUR GBP
Suite Professional + Copilot + 800 Zendesk AI resolutions a month (example above) €41,400 £33,360
Same 15 seats + Copilot, no extra Zendesk resolutions, Heeya Premium in front €30,888 approx. £24,215
12 seats + Copilot + Heeya Premium (if deflection lets you drop 3 seats) €24,948 approx. £19,571

Heeya Premium = €1,188 a year, approx. £995 at the ECB rate of 23 October 2026. Heeya counts AI replies, not resolutions: a conversation with three questions uses three replies, so 2,500 replies cover roughly 800 conversations of that length.

Be clear about what you give up. Heeya is not a helpdesk. It has no shared inbox, no SLAs, no agent assignment and no phone channel. It does not sync tickets with Zendesk: requests reach your team by email and in the Heeya dashboard, and on Premium a webhook can pass form submissions to Zapier, Make or n8n. It works in French and English only. Heeya stores conversations and knowledge bases in the EU (OVH, France); message content is sent to AI providers (Google, OpenAI) that may process it outside the EU under standard contractual clauses or the Data Privacy Framework, with no training on your data. A signed processing addendum is available on request. To see how ticket capture works, read about the AI ticketing chatbot.

A smaller team can go further and pair the chatbot with a lighter inbox. For example, Zendesk Support Team (email only) for 5 agents costs €1,140 a year; with Heeya Premium, the total is €2,328, against €8,250 for Suite Team with Zendesk AI in the 5-agent example. But Support Team has no live chat and no EU data centre option. If you need both, look at helpdesks that let you choose an EU data centre on lower plans, which we cover in our Freshdesk alternatives guide.

When Zendesk is still the better choice

Stay on Zendesk if you need email, chat, voice and social in one queue, with routing, SLAs and reporting for a large team. Zendesk's AI agent also works inside the same ticket history, so a human sees everything the AI did. And it supports many more languages than a French and English chatbot. For teams of 20 agents or more with complex workflows, the extra cost often buys real value. The goal is not to leave Zendesk at any price. It is to stop paying Suite Professional prices for questions your documentation already answers.

FAQ: Zendesk Pricing in Europe

How much does Zendesk cost per agent in Europe?

On Zendesk's euro pricing pages in October 2026, Support Team costs €19 per agent per month billed annually (€25 monthly), Suite Team €55 (€69 monthly) and Suite Professional €115 (€149 monthly). Suite Enterprise is priced on request. Prices are shown before VAT, and AI resolutions and Copilot are billed on top.

What is Zendesk pricing in the UK?

Zendesk's UK pricing page lists Support Team at £15 per agent per month billed annually (£20 monthly), Suite Team at £45 (£59 monthly) and Suite Professional at £89 (£115 monthly), checked October 2026. Copilot costs £40 per agent per month and committed AI resolutions £1.30 each. Add 20 % VAT if your business cannot recover it.

How much does Zendesk AI cost?

AI agents are included in every Suite and Support plan, with 5 automated resolutions per agent per month on Team plans and 10 on Professional. Beyond that, each verified resolution costs €1.50 (£1.30) when committed in advance or €2.00 pay-as-you-go. Copilot, the assistant for human agents, costs €50 (£40) per agent per month billed annually.

Which Zendesk plan do I need to store data in the EU or the UK?

Suite Professional or higher. The Data Center Location add-on is free on those plans and lets you choose the EEA, the UK, the US, Japan or Australia. It is not activated automatically: you ask your account representative or Zendesk support. Some processing by Zendesk group companies and connected third-party services stays outside its scope.

Do Zendesk prices include VAT?

Zendesk's pricing page does not show VAT, so treat the listed prices as net. Budget VAT at your local rate: 20 % in the UK, 19 % in Germany, 21 % in the Netherlands and 23 % in Ireland. Most VAT-registered businesses recover it; it becomes a real cost only if your business cannot reclaim VAT in full.

How can I reduce my Zendesk costs?

Pay annually (about 23 % cheaper on Suite Professional), commit to AI resolutions instead of pay-as-you-go, set a resolution limit, and give Copilot only to agents who need it. To cut seats, deflect repetitive questions before they become tickets, either with Zendesk's AI agent or with a flat-price AI chatbot such as Heeya (from €19 a month) in front of your inbox.
